Like any country, travelling in Australia brings about its unique challenges. In many respects travelling in the urban section of Australia is very much like travelling in other western countries. Australia enjoys modern amenities and the latest technology like the rest of the world.
Outside of the main urban centres is where Australia will provide a vastly unique experience than the majority of places you have visited.
There are unique dangers when travelling in the outback.
Some of the fauna like Kangaroos and Koalas are harmless,
but in total contrast Northern waters hold man eating
crocodiles and the land is crawling with virtually all of
the top 10 deadliest snakes in the world.
If the animals are not dangerous enough the sheer distances travelling in the outback of Australia provide some of the highest risks. On remote roads you may not see another car for days or weeks so if you breakdown in the extreme without food and water you might find yourself in serious trouble.
